8th Explore Your Limits
March 3rd 2012
Thanks you Dr. TK Miller MD for supporting our race. Due to his sponsorship we were able to order the long sleeve technical shirts.
Wow, what a day (make that 48 hours). The forecast leading up to this morning had Gina and I in a panic. We were focused on what we could do to make this event go off well regardless of the weather, while hoping everything would turn around in time for the start. With all things considered, tornadoes in Indiana heading our way, the Blue Ridge Parkway closing on Friday, the rain washing away our course markings on the asphalt, the high winds that luckily didn't bring down any trees last night, and large amounts of rain that came down on Wed, and from noon on, yesterday, it was a great day to be in the woods (muddy but great) and the weather ended up being great.
Thanks you for coming out to Mountain Junkies LLC's 31st event. Gina and I have spent a lot of hours at the Explore Park and enjoy getting to show it off. Thank you also to those of you that donated toward the Welcome Center. Your help is appreciated.
For those of you that choose this as your first trail race, congratulations. Trail races are hard, can be muddy, but are so much fun. Keep pushing yourselves to new levels.
The results are posted to the right.

For those of you that were unable to stay to get your overall or age group award, we'll have these awards at our office, Gilbert Chiropractic, for 2 weeks. Just make sure you call first so that we can have your medal ready for you - 375-3990 (we can't main the medals). After 2 weeks the medals come back home and get put into circulation for next year.
Next up is the Montvale 5/10 Mile Trail Races. We will be putting in our shirt numbers this week so make sure you are registered by then to guarantee getting a shirt.
