If your name isn't highlighted in the results it means one of two things;

- You are new to Mountain Junkies events

- Or your registration information was different than what we've had in the past and the program made a new profile for you.

This will get corrected when I update our master list.  It takes awhile to clean up following a race, but will get done in the next 24 hours, check back.  Once you are highlighted you can look at all MJs races and compare yourself to others.

As photos are edited they will be posted to our

Mountain Junkies LLC Facebook page

Thank you John Wimmer Photography for taking the pics

Race Day Wrap Up
Thank you for coming out to our 58th event.  It was a great morning with mild temperatures.  Thanks for coming out.  It is great to see everyone.

Other than a little less dew on the grass, I'm not sure you could have asked for better race conditions on a mid August morning.  Being a money race and that it falls right before the school year helps create one of the most competitive fields of all the races in the Roanoke Valley.   This year the course was in great shape.

As a race recap:  The race had a wide range of ages from JR Cooper at 6 years of age to Ray Gilbarte at 76 years old.  There were 56 runners under the age of 18.  42 runners under 20 minutes.

One record fell today, Ignacio Moore ran a new masters record in a time of 16:49.3

Congratulations to all the first time racers and newbies to Mountain Junkies events.  I hope this race was a positive experience and that you take on more challenges and hopefully more Mountain Junkies races in the future.  Whether you are running competitively or just to finish, participating in a race is a big deal and an accomplishment.  You did something that most people will never do.  Way to go!  Thank you for coming out.
