About the race
The Fab 5k is about the flattest course you could create in SW Virginia.  It winds through the asphalt and gravel roads and onto some of the grassy fields of Green Hill Park to make a very fast cross country course.  Walkers are welcome.

In addition, this race is one of the few races in the area that gives out a cash purse with $400 going to the top three male and female finishers and overall masters winners ($100 for 1st, $50 for 2nd, and $25 for 3rd and 1st Masters).

Grand Door Prize $1100 Rowe Sofa

This door prize will be done at the conclusion of the awards ceremony. All race participants will be eligible and you must be present to win.

Age brackets for the races include, for both male and female:

13 and under; 14-17; 18-22; 23-29; 30-34; 35-39;

40-44; 45-49; 50-54; 55-59; 60 and over

The top three finishers in each age group will receive award recognizing their achievement.

Distinctive awards to:

   - The top 3 overall male and female finishers

   - 1st Place male and female masters (40+)

   - 1st Place male and female Under 18.

Directions to Green Hill Park

- From I-81 take exit 137 and make a right off the exit onto Wildwood Road.

- Go approximately 3/4 mile and take a right,  at the stoplight, onto West Main Street (460  West).

- Go to the third stoplight and take a left onto Duiguids Lane.

- Cross the bridge and the park will be on the right.
