What a hot and humid day. It was a tough day for everyone, racers, directors, and volunteers (but it wasn't muddy). We went through 35 gallons of Gatorade, 95 gallons of water, 140lbs of ice, and 1000 cups. I would have never expected that, thank goodness the trailer was packed with extra supplies.

This year's t-shirt design was developed the day after last year's Trail Nut. Year 1 and 2 were very muddy and racer had a hard time getting their footing on the first 1.5 miles of the Deer Trail. So I thought it was appropriate to pay homage to the conditions. I heart MUD! Due to the tough conditions this year, I've already come up with next year's design.

Due to the ease of uploading pictures to facebook I've decided not to post them to the website. If you want a better quality image/larger size, just send me an email, and I will try to get one to you.

Our next race on the schedule is the - 08/21/10 - 14th Annual Fab 5k at Roanoke County's Green Hill Park - this is not part of the R NUTS due to it being a flat and fast cross country course.

This race has a prize purse of $400 with $75 going to the top male/female, $50 to the 2nd male/female, and $25 to the 3rd male/female and 1st male/female master winners. And it has an 8:00am start!

The last race of the year for Mountain Junkies LLC is the - 10/23/10 - Anthem Into the Darkness Night Trail Run

* This Race is the last race of the Roanoke Non Ultra Trail Series (R NUTS)

- We will be giving out Long Sleeve Technical shirts to all pre-registered

runners.

- The Top 3 M/F and Masters winners will get $10 gift certificates to

Walkabout Outfitter.

- Come out and enjoy the most unique race in Roanoke.
