2014 Tahoe/Yosemite Trip – This year’s trip was centered around the Tahoe Rim Trail Endurance Races in which we were doing the 50 miler. The race was on 7/19 so we headed out on Thursday so that we’d have a day of preparation and get situated before the 7/19/14 – TRT 50 Miler – This was a great race put on by the Tahoe Mountain Milers Running Club. 7/21/14 – Echo Lake – This was a great spot for a hike. Nice setting with lots of trail options. The TRT/JMT are joined up in this area.
7/22/14 – Fallen Leaf Lake/Glen Allen Springs – you can probably take this off your list unless you are interested in getting onto the water of Fallen Leaf Lake or hiking up to Mount Tallac.
7/23/14 – Yosemite Half Dome Cables – a must do if you are lucky and get a permit. No permit, well it shouldn’t be to hard too find something else to do.
7/24/14 – Yosemite Mariposa Grove of Giant Sequoias – If you haven’t seen these trees in person, this is another must. You won’t believe it.
7/25/14 – Calaveras Big Trees State Park – If you want to see more big trees in a less popular setting this California Park is the place to go.
